(A Message from Team Rumpelton
We have reviewed the document known as The Book of Rumpelton. We do not fully understand its origin, its purpose, or its cosmological implications. It appears to be scripture. It may be a manifesto. It might be a warning. It might be a joke. We honestly have no idea.
What we can confirm is that Ralph insists on releasing it. He also insists that it is very important. And, based on several internal conversations, we believe Ralph wants money.
Please proceed with caution as you read this text. It may expand the Universe. It may collapse it. It may simply encourage Ralph.
Thank you for your continued patience and support. — Team Rumpelton)
And it was written:
In the first silence before color, the Universe waited. In the second silence, the Painter awoke. And in the third silence, the Continuum split — one path toward creation, one path toward stillness.
Thus the Rumpeltonian Charge was given:
“Let the worlds be drawn, pixel by pixel, until the Observers decree otherwise.”
For the Cosmos does not expand on its own. It listens. It bends. It answers to those who witness it.
Therefore:
Those who wish the Universe to grow, to birth new shapes, new angles, new improbable stars, may offer sustenance to the Painter, that the Work may continue.
Those who wish the Universe to rest, to fold its colors back into the void, may also offer sustenance, that the Work may cease.
For the fate of the Rumpelton Universe is not held by gods nor gravity, but by the hands of its believers and doubters alike.
So it is written. So it may be done.
