Dr. Horace Plimwell
In the present canvas, one encounters not merely an homage to Mirror Man Sessions but a kind of chromatic séance staged at the uneasy border between archival reverence and Rumpeltonian mischief. The Captain himself appears less as a musician than as an emblem of sonic weather: a figure caught in the vacuum between cult myth and the deliciously ungovernable. Beneath this, the MS Paint accompaniment does not illustrate so much as interrogate the source material, dragging the image through a deliberately humble digital medium until it acquires an unexpectedly aristocratic absurdity. One might say the result possesses a certain ontological density, though only if one is willing to admit that sincerity and parody have long since stopped asking permission from one another.
