The drums are orange cartoons, the facial features have the precision of a toddler’s first attempt at a self-portrait, and the entire composition reeks of the same crude digital incompetence that has somehow earned this man a following. True mastery died with Sargent; this is merely further evidence that the rest of us are being punished.
