Rumpeltonian Analogism is the belief that art does not have to be created with precision to capture the essence of its subject. A pencil, a piece of paper, an eraser, or even an old-fashioned MS Paint brush can be enough.

The Analogist observes the world through shapes, lines, proportions, and imperfections rather than chasing photographic accuracy. Mistakes are not necessarily mistakes—they are evidence that a human being actually made the thing.

In the Rumpeltonian tradition, the artist is encouraged to draw what the eye understands, rather than what the brain insists it should look like. A crooked line may become a nose. A strange circle may become an ear. A badly drawn hand may remain a badly drawn hand.

That is perfectly acceptable.

Rumpeltonian Analogism rejects perfection in favor of observation, experimentation, and happy accidents. It is the artistic philosophy of looking at the world, picking up a pencil, and saying:

"I think I can draw that."

Then finding out whether you actually can.
